Located in the heart of the King Abdullah Financial District in Riyadh, Zuma has long been a staple of the Saudi capital’s high-end dining scene. The Japanese restaurant has recently elevated its offering with the launch of a sophisticated new brunch experience.

Spanning two floors, the atmosphere is transformed by the presence of a live DJ, blending contemporary luxury with a lively, upbeat energy.

The brunch menu is designed to cater to the city’s discerning palates, offering a meticulously detailed buffet that showcases top flavors.

Crafted by Zuma’s head chef, it begins with a selection of signature starters such as shrimp tempura with a lime and chili dip, chili-lemon chicken karaage, and prawn maki with tenkasu and avocado. The sushi buffet offers a selection of both cooked and raw options.

Staff members are stationed throughout to assist guests with their choices, ensuring a seamless experience. The presentation is equally impressive, with each dish beautifully decorated and displayed.

Highlights include the tuna and wagyu beef tataki, alongside a sashimi bar featuring salmon, tuna, hamachi, and fresh oysters served over ice.

While the brunch follows an open-buffet format, the main courses are served a la carte, with each guest selecting one signature dish.

The menu includes marinated lamb chops with pickled baby onion and myoga, salmon teriyaki with pickled cucumber, and a spicy beef tenderloin glazed with sesame, red chili and sweet soy.

The buffet itself includes vegetarian preferences and features spicy fried tofu, Japanese potato salad, and a diverse selection of fresh salads.

Perhaps the most distinct feature of the experience is the dedicated dessert room. The space is stocked with a variety of fresh fruits, baked goods, tarts and chocolates.

The centerpiece of this room is a multi-tiered matcha fountain. Guests are provided with fruit skewers to dip into the flowing green tea chocolate, making for a unique, interactive end to the meal.

The brunch is priced at SR295 ($78) for adults and SR135 for children, while children under 6 dine free. Reservations are required as tables tend to fill up quickly.

Available every Saturday from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., the brunch will also be offered on Sunday during the upcoming Eid weekend.
