Saudi deputy foreign minister meets with Somali president in Uganda

Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud meets with Saudi Deputy Foreign Minister Waleed bin Abdulkarim El-Khereiji in Kampala.

RIYADH: Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud met with Saudi Deputy Foreign Minister Waleed bin Abdulkarim El-Khereiji in Kampala, Uganda on Tuesday.

During the meeting, the two officials reviewed cooperative relations between their countries and ways to strengthen and develop them, the Saudi Press Agency reported.

Issues of common interest were also discussed during the meeting.

Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni was sworn in on Tuesday for a seventh term, extending his rule in the east African country into a fifth decade. El-Khereiji attended the ceremony on behalf of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
