RABAT: The Literature, Publishing and Translation Commission launched the Saudi pavilion at the International Publishing and Book Fair in Rabat, running until May 10.

Commission CEO Abdullatif Alwasel said the Kingdom’s participation reflects the strong historical ties between Saudi Arabia and Morocco, and showcases a vibrant cultural movement driven by Saudi Vision 2030.

The Kingdom’s participation at the fair highlights its commitment to supporting publishers and the growing literary sector, he added.

Alwasel said the pavilion invites global audiences to experience Saudi culture and literature, showcase creative talent, and encourage cultural exchange and dialogue.

The Saudi pavilion brings together several government entities and cultural institutions under the commission, reflecting an integrated cultural ecosystem.

It also hosts panel discussions, poetry evenings, and workshops with Saudi writers and thinkers, addressing key issues in literature, publishing, and translation, and exploring their global impact.
