AQABA: Jordan’s King Abdullah II on Friday received Bahrain’s Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa during a meeting in Aqaba, the Jordan News Agency reported.
The talks, also attended by Crown Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II, focused on the strong ties between Jordan and Bahrain and ways to enhance cooperation across various sectors.
King Abdullah reaffirmed Jordan’s solidarity with Bahrain and other Gulf states, stressing that the security of the Arab Gulf was integral to the region’s overall stability.
He also underscored the need to intensify international efforts to reinforce the US-Iran ceasefire agreement, noting that any deal to end the war must safeguard the security of Arab states.
Discussions also highlighted the importance of strengthening Arab coordination to address the economic impact of recent regional escalation.
The Bahraini crown prince thanked Jordan for its support and emphasized the importance of expanding cooperation and exploring new opportunities between the two countries.
