Hilton has maintained its position as the No.1 “Great Place to Work” in Saudi Arabia for the third year in a row. The news follows the announcement earlier this month that Hilton was recognized as the third best workplace in the UAE, as well as recognized as the No.1 “Great Place to Work” in Turkey last week.
Kamel Ajami, vice president operations, Saudi Arabia and Levant, Hilton, said: “As we enter our centenary year, we’re proud of the culture we have created and are delighted to have been recognized as the No.1 ‘Great Place to Work’ in Saudi Arabia. Our team members are our greatest asset, and our ambition to be the most hospitable company in the world starts with them. We are committed to providing all team members with the support they need to achieve their career ambitions, and continue to innovate our working culture in order to create an environment in which they can thrive and progress.”
Hilton currently has 12 open hotels across Saudi Arabia and expects to more than quadruple that number to some 50 hotels in the next five years. This will create thousands of career opportunities for those living and working in the country, including for Saudi Arabian team members.
“Hospitality will continue to create great career opportunities and exciting roles for both men and women in the country as Hilton provides a range of career opportunities to suit all ambitions, from front of house, kitchen and F&B, to housekeeping, management, finance and sales, and even engineering and interior design,” the US hospitality giant said.
In its first century, Hilton served three billion guests, employed 10 million people, and had an estimated $1 trillion economic impact globally. As part of its commitment to supporting team members, Hilton launched Thrive@Hilton in 2017. The workplace wellness initiative seeks to help team members feel more resilient, focused and optimistic about their work, putting the approach firmly into their hands.
To help its team members achieve their ambitions, Hilton provides learning and development opportunities including access to Hilton University, an online platform offering more than 5 million hours of training through 2,500 courses. In addition, it offers rewards and benefits such as Go Hilton, its team member travel program.
