Pak singer Jawad Ahmed visits Dallas

DALLAS: Renowned Pakistani singer Jawad Ahmed visited Dallas where he attended a luncheon at a local restaurant with prominent community members, geo.tv reported.
He attended a reception in the evening at the residence of community leader Syed Fayyaz Hassan.
The event was attended by famous health care business tycoon Dr. Hasan Hashmi and his wife Salma Hashmi, Pakistan American Association of Texas President Amir Suleman and his wife, Dr. Javed Ajmal, Dr. Anas Athar, MCCHS founder Chairman Dr. Bashir Ahmed, renowned Peace activist Hadi Jawad, Muslim Democratic Caucus President Aftab Siddiqui, Athar Anas, South Asia Democracy Watch Directors Barrister Tausif Kamal, Amir Makhani, Raja Muzaffar and other activists and community leaders of Dallas Fort Worth.
Jawad Ahmed said that Pakistani political landscape has no program for down trodden and poor of the country even though they represent a large portion of the country.
He said that this is why he has founded the group named “Barabry”. He said that the group has presence in 31 educational institutes and has started organizing peasants and will be working with trade unions.
