The Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCHS) will no longer recognize the qualifications of graduates from health colleges in the Ukraine, a local newspaper reported.
The decision was taken by the SCHS’s board of trustees, chaired by Minister of Health Dr. Abdullah Al-Rabeeah, because of the substandard skills of these graduates. Abdullah Al-Zuhian, spokesman of the SCHS, said that recruitment would focus on properly qualified staff. He said that the Ukrainian Education Ministry has been informed of the decision.
Al-Zuhian also admitted that the academic qualifications of graduates of health institutes in the Kingdom are below average.
