MINA: Ashmana Al-Sayed Suleiman, a 63-year-old Sudanese pilgrim, has told of the emotional fulfillment of a 15-year dream to perform Hajj, inspired by years of watching images of worshippers performing their rituals in Makkah.

Suleiman, who lost a child during Operation Decisive Storm and Restoring Hope, described her selection for the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques’ Program for Hajj, Umrah and Visit as one of the happiest moments of her life.

She said learning of her selection in Ramadan filled her with immense joy after years of waiting. Neighbors and relatives gathered to celebrate the news and entrusted her with their prayers and wishes.

Reflecting on the journey, which she said will remain unforgettable, Suleiman expressed gratitude to King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for their generous hospitality.

She praised the exceptional services, organization, and personalized care provided through the guest program, and admired the Kingdom’s urban development. Suleiman concluded by praying for the Kingdom’s continued security, stability, and prosperity.

This year, 2,500 pilgrims from 104 countries arrived under the guests program, including 1,300 prominent Islamic scholars and global figures, 200 pilgrims from Liberia, and 1,000 Sudanese family members of martyrs and wounded personnel.

Minister of Islamic Affairs Sheikh Abdullatif Al-Asheikh said the ministry has implemented a comprehensive operational plan, including premium transport logistics, tailored accommodations, and guided cultural programs in Makkah and Madinah, to ensure guests perform their rituals and arrival Tawaf in complete tranquility.
