RIYADH: Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Culture has opened applications for nonprofit organizations to join its “Support for Performance Program.”
The program offers eligible entities the opportunity to apply for six financial support products aimed at strengthening the Kingdom’s nonprofit cultural sector.
It seeks to enhance nonprofit organizations’ contribution and impact across cultural fields, expand their reach across cultural sub-sectors, geographic regions and stages of the cultural value chain, while increasing financial sustainability and improving organizational maturity and implementation capabilities, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
Among the products is financial support for projects and programs with cultural impact, aimed at increasing their contribution and impact in priority cultural fields while boosting financial sustainability.
Another product provides funding for consultancy services and specialized training programs to help cultural nonprofit organizations strengthen their maturity and operational capabilities.
The ministry also introduced a support product for newly established nonprofit cultural organizations in priority fields, providing financial support during their establishment phase to accelerate institutional maturity and strengthen cultural impact.
Another product targets nonprofit cultural organizations facing financial or administrative difficulties caused by exceptional circumstances or natural disasters, provided they have a record of high performance or a recognized position within the nonprofit cultural sector.
The program also includes an institutional excellence award for nonprofit organizations that demonstrate strong governance and management practices.
The program was launched by the ministry in previous years as part of its broader strategy for the nonprofit cultural sector, with support linked to organizational performance to encourage greater efficiency and cultural impact.
Applications for the program will run from May 11 to June 22.
