FII PRIORITY Europe unveils agenda, keynote speakers for Rome summit

RIYADH: The Future Investment Initiative Institute announced the first group of keynote speakers and the strategic agenda for the FII PRIORITY Europe 2026 summit, which will be held from June 17 to 19, 2026, in Rome, Italy, under the theme: “Europe Reimagined: Capital, Sovereignty & Strategic Autonomy.” 

The summit will bring together global investors, policymakers, innovators, and business leaders to discuss how to strengthen capital deployment to enhance Europe’s long-term competitiveness across energy, technology, security, finance, and industrial transformation sectors. 

Richard Attias, executive committee chairman and acting CEO of the FII Institute, said: “Europe is entering a decisive period where competitiveness, resilience, and strategic autonomy will increasingly depend on how effectively capital is mobilized across industries, technologies, and infrastructure.” 

He added: “FII PRIORITY Europe is designed to bring together global leaders and investors to examine not only Europe’s challenges, but also the significant opportunities emerging across energy, AI, manufacturing, finance, and sustainable growth.” 

Key discussion topics on the agenda include Europe at the inflection point, tariffs, trade and the new geoeconomic order, and sovereign AI, with a focus on whether Europe can build its own AI infrastructure. 

The summit will feature a high-profile lineup of global leaders, including Princess Reema bint Bandar bin Sultan Al Saud, Saudi Ambassador to the US and a trustee of the FII Institute, and Yasir Al-Rumayyan, governor of the Public Investment Fund, chairman of Saudi Aramco and chairman of the FII Institute Board of Trustees.
