RABAT: Saudi Arabia concluded its participation in the 31st Rabat International Book Fair, held from May 1 to 10, highlighting the nation’s cultural and intellectual ties with Morocco.
Abdullatif Al-Wasel, CEO of the Literature, Publishing and Translation Commission, said the participation reflects the relations between the two countries and aims to introduce Saudi literary and intellectual output to the Moroccan public.
Al-Wasel added that the Saudi pavilion served as a cultural platform showcasing the Kingdom’s literary and creative production under Saudi Vision 2030.
The pavilion hosted a program featuring Saudi writers, including panel discussions and poetry readings.
It also highlighted growing interest in Saudi literature, alongside national initiatives supporting authors and publications across various fields.
The Ministry of Islamic Affairs also participated in the pavilion, attracting academics, researchers, media professionals, families, and children.
Visitors viewed publications from the King Fahd Glorious Qur’an Printing Complex and learned about the stages of Qur’an printing.
The pavilion also showcased Qur’anic recitations, translations in several languages, rare manuscripts, and digital content highlighting the Kingdom’s efforts in serving Islam and Muslims.
