TOKYO: Saudi Ambassador to Japan Dr. Ghazi Faisal Binzagr joined the launch of SusHi Tech Tokyo, underscoring how the event supports the ambitions of Saudi Vision 2030.
“In Saudi Arabia, innovation is understood as an expression of values, reflecting how societies are shaped, communities are connected, and quality of life is advanced for all. For Saudi Arabia, this moment reflects a broader trajectory. Under Vision 2030, we are enabling a new generation of entrepreneurs to engage the world with confidence, substance, and a clear sense of purpose,” Ambassador Binzagr said to Arab News Japan.
SusHi Tech Tokyo stands as one of Asia’s premier innovation gatherings, spotlighting sustainability, technology, and urban progress. The event unites startups, corporations, investors, and officials from across the globe. The name “SusHi Tech” is inspired by “Sustainable High City Tech Tokyo,” a vision championed by Tokyo Governor Koike Yuriko to drive advanced technology for thriving, sustainable cities.
Ambassador Binzagr remarked, “At SusHi Tech Tokyo, I observed not only the scale of innovation but also the clear purpose underlying it.” He added that Governor Koike and her team are building a platform for exchanging and integrating ideas across sectors and countries.
Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi also attended.
The Ambassador stated, “In my engagements with Japanese entrepreneurs, global innovators, and the Saudi delegation, one message stood out: The future will not be built in isolation. It will be co-created through ecosystems that unite vision, capability, and trust. Ultimately, progress is not measured solely by technological sophistication, but by the depth of human purpose guiding these advancements.”
Ambassador Binzagr highlighted the rise of a new ecosystem in which technology is guided by thoughtful purpose, aiming to enhance lives and shape a future centered on humanity.
He further stated, “In this context, Japan remains a natural and trusted partner, as together we progress from exchange to co-creation and from opportunity to enduring impact.”
