RIYADH: The Saudi capital will host the Development Finance Conference MOMENTUM 2025 from Dec. 9 to 11 at the King Abdulaziz International Conference Center. Organized by the National Development Fund, the event is being held under the patronage of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, who also chairs the fund’s board of directors. This year’s edition will convene under the theme “Leading Development Transformation.”
NDF Vice Chairman Mohammed Al-Tuwaijri expressed gratitude to the crown prince for supporting the event, noting that the conference reflects the Kingdom’s ongoing national transformation and provides a strategic platform for strengthening local and global development finance partnerships.
“MOMENTUM 2025 is more than a conference. It represents a new path for comprehensive and sustainable development. It aims to maximize the developmental impact on society and the environment through a thriving and sustainable economy, while showcasing the Kingdom’s position on the global stage as a leading destination for development transformation,” Al-Tuwaijri stated.
The conference aims to bolster the strategic direction of the NDF and its affiliated development funds and banks by enriching the development sector and enhancing the efficiency of the national development ecosystem. It also seeks to elevate the sector’s ability to meet national priorities by improving coordination and aligning objectives to secure long-term developmental impact.
MOMENTUM positions Saudi Arabia as a committed driver of sustainable development and reflects the NDF’s role in advancing comprehensive transformation. It will serve as a hub for knowledge exchange and dialogue on the future of development finance and its role in achieving the ambitions of Saudi Vision 2030.
The event will spotlight the essential contribution of the private sector and small and medium-sized enterprises, emphasizing their importance in accelerating economic growth, generating jobs, and boosting competitiveness in line with the Kingdom’s vision.
Several princes, ministers, senior officials, CEOs, global leaders, development experts, and economists are scheduled to attend. The program will feature more than 100 speakers from over 120 local and international entities, further underscoring the conference’s role as a national forum supporting the leadership’s vision of building a dynamic financing ecosystem that empowers key sectors.
By hosting MOMENTUM, the NDF reinforces its position as a central enabler of development in Saudi Arabia through its 12 affiliated development funds and banks. The conference aims to unify efforts, maximize developmental outcomes, and ensure sustainable growth across vital sectors.
The event will also enhance cooperation among local development funds, banks, and international development finance institutions, while fostering stronger partnerships with public and private sector leaders to ensure the optimal deployment of resources in support of Vision 2030.
