Kaspersky has appointed Mohamad Hashem as general manager for Saudi Arabia and Bahrain to further the company’s strategic expansion and operations. This step follows the opening of Kaspersky’s regional office in Riyadh last year.
In 2022, Kaspersky witnessed a 3 percent year-on-year growth in its B2B sales across the Middle East, Turkiye and Africa region. Under his watch, Hashem will lead business operations, valued partnerships and collaborations to continue the momentum of growth and expand Kaspersky’s footprint in Saudi Arabia and Bahrain. He is also tasked with focusing on critical verticals in the two countries, and collaboratively empowering organizations to upskill national talent.
With more than 20 years of experience in the field of information technology, Hashem has established himself as a target-oriented professional with a strong background in developing and implementing sales and business development strategies. He has held leadership positions in multiple companies prior to joining Kaspersky six years ago.
Hashem said: “My mission is to enable organizations in Saudi Arabia and Bahrain to understand and adapt well to the changing pace of cybersecurity in the dynamic business landscape.”
