Irish airport management company, DAA International, has won a five-year contract to operate King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah.
Under the deal, DAA International will support, manage and advise on airport operations, and aviation business development.
It is the third contract DAA International has won in Saudi Arabia. The company has been managing and operating a terminal at Riyadh’s main airport for five years, and recently, it won a contract to manage a new airport at the Kingdom’s Red Sea development project.
Ryyan Tarabzoni, CEO of Jeddah Airports Company said the new contract will enable it to achieve its corporate objective by developing King Abdulaziz International Airport into one of the world’s leading hub airports.
Tarbzoni added that the firm is working towards the goal of 114 million passengers, 2.5 million tons of cargo, and being an active hub airport by 2030.
