DUBAI: Tunisian-Egyptian actress Hend Sabri announced on Tuesday on Instagram that she is working with US streaming giant Netflix to release a second season to her hit show “Finding Ola.”
Season One of the Netflix original Arabic series, which dropped in February, was a continuation of the star’s 2010 comedy series “Ayza Atgawez” (“I Want to Get Married”).
It rocketed to the top spot on Netflix in nearly every Middle Eastern country since its debut.
In the recently released show, which marks Sabri’s first major work as a producer, the character embarks on a journey of self-discovery while dealing with the challenges of raising two children after divorce.
In the 30-second video she shared with her 3.3 million followers, Sabri said: “Of course we will continue. Ola’s story is not over yet. Didn’t she teach us that the end of one story is a beginning of a new story? So for Ola to take her second chance, there has to be a Season Two for ‘Finding Ola.’”
The release date is yet to be announced.
