Turki Abdulaziz Al-Hokail was recently appointed chairman of the board of directors at Altanfeethi Co. which manages and operates executive terminals and offices — established as part of a privatization program for Saudi Arabia’s aviation sector — at every airport in the Kingdom.
He is also a member of other boards, councils, and committees including those linked to the Makkah and Madinah regional development authorities, the Saudi Tourism Development Council, Saudi Energy Efficiency Center, State Properties General Authority, Quality of Life Program, and Presidency of State Security.
He was formerly a member of the boards of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation, Saudi Customs Authority, Health Holding Co., National Center for Privatization and PPP, and Saudi Civil Aviation Holding Co.
Between April 2019 and September this year, he was an assistant minister of economy and planning for committees, councils, and international relations. Prior to that, he became the first chief executive officer of the National Center for Privatization, a position he held for nearly three years, and from 2016 to 2017, he was secretary for the ministerial committee on privatization expansion.
From the end of 2015 to 2016, he was assistant deputy minister for foreign trade in the Ministry of Commerce and Investment and between 2013 and 2015 was a senior adviser to the Supreme Economic Council at the Royal Court.
Al-Hokail worked as a consultant for the World Bank from 2012 to 2013 and was a senior economic analyst at Banque Saudi Fransi between 2009 and 2012. He began his career in 2006 as an economic analyst at the SABB banking company, where he worked for three years.
He gained a master’s degree in international economics and public policy from America’s George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia, and a degree in senior fellowship in administrative leadership from Harvard Kennedy School, part of Harvard University.
