RIYADH: Attorney General Sheikh Saud bin Abdullah Al-Mua’jab has issued directives to prevent the spread of the coronavirus disease among prisoners and detainees and to ensure their safety.
This is in line with the efforts made to control the spread of COVID-19, said an official source in Public Prosecution.
The source said that the attorney general has called for detailed periodic reports on the precautionary measures.
The attorney general has given his directives to prison control departments, detention centers and social welfare homes across the Kingdom to intensify monitoring and inspection work.
Al-Mua’jab stressed the importance of cooperation with the health authorities in accordance with the standards adopted by the concerned state agencies.
