Saudi Arabia’s UN ambassador meets Qatari counterpart

NEW YORK: The Kingdom’s permanent representative to the UN met his Qatari counterpart to discuss bilateral relations and ways to enhance cooperation and coordination on common issues, the Saudi Press Agency reported.

Ambassador Abdallah Al-Mouallimi received Ambassador Sheikha Alya Al-Thani at his office in New York. 

Al-Mouallimi also took part in a meeting of the UN Arab Group, which was held via video conferencing.

The meeting, which was attended by the countries’ permanent representatives to the UN, discussed the most prominent issues of common concern and the common challenges facing the region.

Other people at the meeting were the director of Al-Mouallimi’s bureau, Faisal Al-Haqbani, and the head of the General Assembly’s section of Saudi Arabia’s permanent delegation to the UN, Khaddam Al-Fayez.
