MADINAH: Madinah Deputy Gov. Prince Saud bin Khalid Al-Faisal on Saturday inaugurated a workshop to help create employment opportunities for orphans.

The event was organized by Madinah’s District Council in cooperation with the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, Prince Muqrin bin Abdul Aziz University and the chambers of commerce and industry in Madinah and Yanbu.

The deputy governor stressed the need to set out a clear roadmap to achieve the desired results.

He called on the relevant authorities to study all aspects of the initiative to help the beneficiaries take full advantage of the program, which included raising their competitiveness and honing their skills to meet the demand of the labor market.

The secretary-general of the Madinah District Council, Mohammed Abbas, briefed the deputy governor about the program and the steps that have been taken so far for the implementation of the program.

Officials of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development also gave a presentation on the services provided to orphans and people with special needs.
