RIYADH: Saudi Arabia’s Deputy Defense Minister Prince Khalid bin Salman has thanked the UK for sending British military forces and defense systems to the Kingdom.
Prince Khalid said Tuesday he had discussed military cooperation with the UK in a phone call with Ben Wallace, the British defense minister.
They also discussed other bilateral relations and the “unique and historical ties between the UK and Saudi Arabia,” especially in defense, Saudi Press Agency reported.
Prince Khalid conveyed Saudi Arabia’s thanks to the UK government “on their efforts in cooperation through sending British military forces and defense systems to the Kingdom to achieve mutual goals in protecting regional security.”
Wallace said the British forces in Saudi Arabia showed the depth of partnership between the countries, and “bolstered cooperation to protect regional security and stability,” SPA reported.
