RIYADH: The Ministry of Health has issued a coronavirus awareness guide for citizens and residents in seven different languages, explaining what precautions to take and the risks of failing to follow official advice.
The guide is available online in Arabic, Filipino, Urdu, English, French, Russian and Portuguese.
It includes an introduction about the novel coronavirus, methods of transmission, symptoms, the correct way to wash your hands, ways to improve your chances of not catching the virus, and an explanation of behaviors to avoid.
It also contains advice about what to do if you develop coronavirus symptoms, when to wear masks and the correct way to wear them, how and when to self-isolate, travel recommendations, and a “Frequently Asked Questions” section.
The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development also issued a provisional guideline to carry out office work remotely. It clarified the rights and duties of establishments and workers in the private sector.
The ministry said under special circumstances an employee might be asked to report to the office.
