Saudi King Salman, crown prince condemn New York attack

JEDDAH: King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman condemned the attack in New York in messages of condolence on Wednesday to the US President Donald Trump.

“We condemn and denounce in the strongest possible terms this terrorist act, and we express our deepest condolences to the families of the victims and the friendly American people on behalf of the people and the government of Saudi Arabia,” the king said.

“We reiterate the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s position in rejecting terrorism in all its forms and manifestations and stressing the importance of international efforts to confront and eradicate it.”

The crown prince said: “I express my deepest condolences and condemnation of this disgraceful act, which is condemned by all religions and customs.

“I express my deep condolences to your excellency, families of the victims and the friendly American people.”
