Smartphone design has not witnessed any major changes in the last decade. While earlier models have given way to slimmer and more powerful devices, the basic design template has remained stagnant. This year, however is seen as the year to revolutionize the visual aspect of the smartphone.
According to a recent Honor consumer survey, close to 30 percent of respondents stated that phone design was the main deciding factor in their smartphone purchase. The smartphone maker said design has always been a key part of its innovation and it has invested heavily in R&D since its inception to ensure it provides consumers with sought-after design, performance and functionality in each of its popular flagship models.
“Honor sees the smartphone as not just a cookie-cutter utility, but a distinct expression of individuality. Honor’s flagship line is always an annual celebration of aesthetics. Honor is helping to lead the way in this design revolution, and the Honor 9 is the latest in this line of modern, innovative designs,” a press release said.
It added: “The Honor 9 is the culmination of Honor’s legacy of expert craftsmanship, a standout in a renaissance year for Android smartphones. The smooth, clean design of the body, and the curvature of the device gives it a sense of elegance and excellent ergonomics.”
