New Saudi comedy series to stress family unity

A comedy TV serial titled “Family of Five” is coming soon to tickle the funny bone.
Arab and local artists have come together for the program, a production of Bandar Abu Dawood. The story revolves around a family of four siblings, their mother and a father who is dying. He has several wives and children without the knowledge of the first wife and her children.
When the family of the first wife learns about it, they are worried that after the man's death, his wealth would be divided among the other wives and children and that they would be left with nothing.
The family then embarks on a mission to avert the distribution of the man’s wealth.
Director Fahad Ghozoli told Arab News that the comedy serial comprises 15 to 36 episodes. “It will enthrall audiences while giving out the message of unity, that family members should stay together and support each other,” he said.
Ghazoli said the serial is coming after a long absense and it would surely win the hearts of the viewers.
Mohammed Hanif has written the screenplay and dialogues.
The actors of the serial include Mohammed Bakr, Abdul Majeed Alrheedi, Ghazlan Nasser, Lamar Abdulrhman, Qamar Al-Turk, Bandar Abu Dawood, Nevine Tabbara, Darren Bayed, Mohammed Hanif, Qadeer Abdul Rahman Ezzat, Mervat Al-Mansouri and star comedian Imad Yousef.
