RIYADH: Pakhtoon Khawah routed Mughal by 5 wickets to enter the third round of the Power Zone Twenty20 cricket tournament, organized by the Riyadh Cricket League, here.
Mughal made first use of the track and put up 165 runs. Sajjad Shah top-scored with 45 runs, while Bajwa got 32. Haroon of Pakhtoon got 2 wickets
In reply Pakhtoon reached their target after 17.3 overs. Haroon was in top form and scored 73 runs. He was supported by Khalid’s 65 runs. Sajjad and Qassim took 2 wickets each.
Man-of-the-Match: Haroon.
Highlights of the second round matches were impressive batting by SHajiudeen of Deccan Stars, Faheem Shah of Mehran, Sufian of Riyadh Blues, Danish of Konkan Green, Zeeshan of Cricketer, Bilal of Black Caps and Kashif of Kashmir Press. Siraj, Zubair and Qasim dazzled with their bowling. Haroon, Khalid, Jamaludin and Usman Ashraf impressed with their all-round display.
Mehran got the better of Game Pro by 74 runs Mehran posted a reasonable total of 180 runs. Fahim Abbas Shah was the man in form and scored 50 runs He was supported by Alamgeer (32) and Akhtar Zaib (39 not out). Zakariya Hassen and Imran Gavanji bowled well and claimed 2 wickets each.
In reply Game Pro collapsed for 106 runs. Shoaib (24), Kashif (17), Sameer (16), Mohammed Hussain (15) and Imran Gavanji (14 were the run getters. Raja Ejaz took 2 wickets.
Man-of-the-Match: Faheem Abbas Shah.
Riyadh Blues defeated Kashmir Press by 48 runs. Riyadh Blues made 169 runs. Sufiyan played a sensible inning of 69 runs. Fayyaz made 25 and Murtaza 21 runs. Qasim bowled well and took 3 wickets while Mir Waez and Nazar shared 4 wickets.
In reply Kashmir Press failed and were bowled out for 121 runs. Kashif was the only batsman who resisted Riyadh Blues bowlers and made 50 runs. Jawad and Shakil claimed 2 wickets each.
Man-of-the-Match: Sufiyan.
Gujranwala got the better of Konkan Green by 40 runs. Gujranwala set their rivals a target of 187 runs. Usman Ashraf top-scored with 82 runs. He was supported by Ejaz (29) and Waqar (14). Siraj claimed 4 wickets while Manoj took 3.
In reply Konkan Green failed to achieve the total and were bowled out for 147 runs. Danish was the highest scorer with 65 runs.
Zubair claimed 3 wickets while Omar got 2.
Man-of-the-Match: Usman Ashraf.
Elsewhere, Cricketers put on board 168 runs against Maestro. Zeeshan Butt (52) and Zeeshan Malik (44) provided a good opening stand of 106 runs. Jamaludin and Imran of Maestro took 2 wickets each.
In reply Maestro tried their best to achieve their target but fell short by 12 runs. Jamaluddin was in good form and played a magnificent inning of 78 runs. However, his efforts were not good enough to steer his team to victory Jamaluddin was supported by Rahil Lala’s 28 runs.
Man-of-the-Match: Jamaludin.
Black Caps got the better of Deccan Stars by 2 wickets. Deccan Stars put on board 213 runs. SHajiudeen top-scored with 116 runs. Bashar gave him support with 37 runs while Mujtaba got 22.
In reply Black Caps achieved the total after 19.2 overs. Bilal Khursheed was the highest scorer with 63 runs. He was supported by Ashfaq’s 42 runs followed by Aamir’s 40 and Saud’s 17. Bashar of Deccan took 3 wickets.
