Aims, Al-Ghamdi win in EPCA League

Aims bin Delamah routed SST Blue by 97 runs in the first week of the 40-over Premier Division Cricket League, sponsored by Sheikh Rami Khalid Al-Turki and organized by the East Province Cricket Association (EPCA).
The 40-over league consists of eight Premier Division teams and 19 First Division teams.
Aims bin Delamah batted first and made 236 runs. Shorab top-scored with an unbeaten 77 runs followed by Mohsin Ali with 54 runs. Nasir Khan claimed 3 wickets.
In reply SST Blue managed 139 with only Kashif Riaz (41) putting up a fight. Krishnan Unni took 5 wickets supported by Asif Mughal who got 4.
In another one-sided affair, Al-Ghamdi outclassed TFT by 110 runs. The winners put up 353 on board. Salman Butt impressed with his 109. Amjad Butt supported him from other end scoring 88 runs. Bilal Shabbir was the only bowler who impressed and took 4 wickets. TFT tried to make a fight of it and scored 243. Kashif Mehar was the highest scorer with 80 runs. Iftikhar Ali, Raza Abbas and Iftikhar Tanwir took 2 wickets each.
Elsewhere, Al-Tuwairqi White worked hard for their 12-run win over Kanoo. Al-Tuwairqi White batted first and 278 runs. Naveed Abrar (73), Rizwan Qayyum (44) and Waqas Fakhr (47) were the main run getters.
Wassem Razzak took 3 and Shahbaz Khan took 2. Kanoo didn’t had the best of start losing early wickets but middle order batsmen Abdul Naheed and Imran Ahmed scored 72 runs each. Kanoo managed to score 266 runs. Majaz Qadri took 4 wickets. M. Waqas and Rizwan Qayyum took 2 each.
The last match of this division between Abbas XI and KGC could not be played due to unplayable ground conditions.
In the First Division League, champions Khobar Badshahs were shocked by Harley Davidson by 5 wicket. Khobar Badshahs won the toss, decided to bat scored 226 runs. Haider Abbas (41) and Badar Munir (48) did their best. Tajamal Hayat and Rafiq Khatam took 3 wickets. Harley Davidson got to their target easily with Tarim Tamake (83) runs and Tajamal Hayat (59) in fine form. Muhammad Asif took 2 wickets.
Kashmir XI scored a thrilling one-wicket win over Al-Tuwairqi Green.
Al-Tuwairqi Green made first use of the track and scored 187 runs. Kashif Ashraf (34) and Asghar (32) were highest run makers. Irshad claimed 3 wickets, Ejaz Ahmed and Khalid Hameed bagged 2 wickets each.
Kashmir XI achieved their target in the last over. Mohammad Shafi (36) and Khalid Hameed (31) excelled. Shabaz, Shafiq and Shiraz took 2 wickets each.
In the third match, Gyptech Dolphins scored a comfortable 45-run win over Ei Plus Arabia.
The Dolphins batted first and put on board 256 runs. Usman Quddussi scored an impressive 119 runs. Hamza Naeem supported him with 30 runs. Ihtishaam and Nabeel both claimed 3 wickets each. Ei Plus Arabia went into chase but managed only 211 runs. Saleem (58) and Zahid Shuja (33) were the top scorers.
Fahad Ashfaq took 4 wickets. Asif and Irfan Afzal shared four wickets. In another encounter Pak Saudi routed Age Steel Young Guns by 63 runs.
Pak Saudi scored 293 runs. Imran top-scored with 69 runs. He got good support from Shafiq who got 59. Arsalan took 4 wickets and Shahbaz got 3. Age Steel Young Guns managed 230 runs. Farhan (41) and Mudassir Junaid (35) did their best. Shafiq bowled well for his four wickets while Qassim got 2.
Later Bin Delamah beat Team Arabia by 2 wickets.
Team Arabia batted first and scored 212 runs. Sunil AM (64) and Tanveer Haji (32) were the main scorers. Bharat Choughle took 3 wickets.
Kashif Butt and Imran Khan bagged 2 wickets each. After an early collapse Bin Delamah’s Saeed Iqbal (69) and Imran Ali (40) put their act together and got the required runs. Nafsal Abdul and Nooruddin got 3 wickets each.
