United Naghi of Dante Caraan beat Tike Restaurant 70-56 in the second week of action in the JBL Inter My-Naghi basketball tournament at the Bin Mahfouz court here.
United Naghi displayed solid offense in the final quarter. Reynaldo Martos’ Tike Restaurant managed to control their game up to third quarter but lost steam in the crucial two minutes of the game. Henry Constiniano’s inside game netted him 17 points for United Naghi and was adjudged as the Giordano Best Player of the game while Adonis Malabarbas had 21 points for Tike.

Mini Cooper of coach Rolando Tayco defeated Fuddruckers 78-75. It was a championship game atmosphere as both teams traded basket after basket in the whole game. Sherwin Cabading singlehandedly carried the scoring load for Mini Copper. He top-scored with a career high of 38 points and was adjudged as the Arab News Best Player of the game while Marlon Melendez scored 28 points for Fuddruckers.
Saudia Catering of coach Macron Maycacayan blasted DHL Express 64-36. Though undermmaned DHL Express kept the enemy at bay up to the third quarter. Saudia Catering, a waiting semifinalist, played good offense in the whole game. Hassan Makki had 16 points for Saudia Catering and was adjudged as the JBL Best Player while Bryian Rafael scored 11 points for DHL.
Nissan of Francis Gallego won by default against Red Hot Guys.
Mini Cooper won against Tike Restaurant 72-66 for its back-to-back wins. Sherwin Cabading top-scored with 25 points as the Saudi Sign Best Player while Malabarbas led Tike with 21 points.
Hyundai Genesis of Dennis Elmenzo defeated Chilli’s Restaurant 79-72. Hyundai Genesis escaped with a win in the crucial seconds of the game. Chilli’s missed important baskets that gave Hyundai Genesis two wins in a row. Aaron Makarimban top-scored with 21 points as the Wael Sports Best Player while Rhandy Deiparine scored 26 big points for Chilli’s.
Jeddah Dawa Center of coach Ali Lumanog beat Saudia Aviations 71-66. JDC almost collapsed again in tits offense.
Saudia Aviation was down by only two points in the crucial seconds, missed the desperation three-pointer and went for a quick foul to stop the clock. But JDC converted the free throws to score its third win. Mohrab scored 25 points for JDC and was adjudged as TFC Best Player while Noel Alegre scored 17 points for Saudia Aviations.
Toyota ALJ of Noel Sun upset Aces 93-87. It was a ding-dong battle in the whole game. Toyota ALJ assistant coach Camelo Melendez wisely reshuffled his players to disrupt the offensive rhythm of Aces in the dying seconds. Paul Taguba led Toyota with 25 points and was adjudged as JBL Pest Player of the game while Ismael scored 18 points for Aces.
