The Tadawul All-Share Index (TASI) fell 0.43 percent yesterday. The index slipped in the negative territory earlier yesterday, traded below the break-even line throughout the session to close lower at 6,745.36 points, shedding 28.9 points further.
Most of the major sectors ended the day with mild losses. Media and Publishing sector performed worst, trimming 1.14 percent for the day.
Transport — the best performer (+0.79), Insurance (+0.58) and Hotel (+0.3) sectors have been unharmed by the day's trading. These sectors accumulated an aggregate of 58.79 points.
Heavy weights closed the day in the negative territory except Kingdom Holding Co. and Saudi Telecom Co. , which rose to 1.26 percent and 0.25 percent respectively. However, SABB fell 1.21 percent and became the top loser among heavy weights.
The market breadth was negative with 98 stocks witnessing declines against 40 stocks witnessing advances.
Enaya Insurance shares jumped 9.91 percent to close the day at SR61, clinching the spot as top gainer amongst Saudi stocks.
On the other hand, Saudi Integrated Telecommunication (Almutakamela) continued its downward trend for the second straight day, topping the decliner chart with 3.6 percent negative change.
Alinma Tokio Marine shares began trading on Tadawul yesterday with opening price of SR90. Its shares closed at SR77.25. The company’s IPO price was SR10.00, on first day it recorded a gain of 672.5 percent.
It also dominated the trading activity at Saudi stock market by contributing SR 1.2 billion, which equates 17.7 percent of total market turnover.
