Tadawul continues to decline

The Tadawul All-Share Index (TASI) set out positively yesterday but suddenly changed its direction toward south, reflecting a negative slope. The index closed lower at 6683.34 points.
The index pared 62.02 points or 0.92 percent for the entire day. It wavered within a range of 75 points.
All market cap indices closed the day in the negative zone.
All Saudi sectors performed negatively, except Media and Publishing - the worst performer of previous day, which gained a nominal 8.15 points or 0.32 percent. Remaining 14 sectors lost an aggregate of 591.86 points for the day.
On the other hand, Transport sector switched its position from top performer of previous day to the worst performing sector of the day, down 1.8 percent.
Top ten heavy weights also closed in red, with Etihad Etisalat Co. (Mobily) dipping by 1.2 percent and bellwether SABIC (Saudi Basic Industries Corp.) 1.1 percent. However, Kingdom Holding remained green for the second consecutive day, rising by 0.41 percent to close the day at SR 12.05.
The market breadth was negative as out of 154 stocks traded yesterday, 19 were up and 125 were down while 10 remained unchanged.
Enaya Insurance continued to show a splendid performance, topping the gainers chart for the second straight day with 9.83 percent positive change.
On the worst side, NAMA Chemicals and new player Alinma Tokio Marine posted the largest losses among Saudi equities, down 9.91 percent and 8.39 percent respectively.
