Eirad Travels, ECU Lines to clash in final

JEDDAH: Eirad Travel and ECU lines will clash in the final of the Jotun League cricket tournament, organized by the Jeddah Cricket Association.
In the one-sided semifinals, Eirad Travels routed Jamoom Fighters by 111 runs and ECU lines eased past MB Starts by 99 runs.
The highlight of the day was Javed’s match winning knock of 113 for ECU lines.
In the first match, Eirad Travels batted first and scored 213 for 9 runs in the allotted overs. Riaz Afridi top-scored with 63 runs. He was supported by Asghar (23), Shad (48) and Naeem (21). Usman (2 for 21) and Saeed Ahmad (2 for 30) impressed with their bowling.
In reply Jamoom Fighters were bundled out for a paltry 102. Usman Iqbal (30) and Usman (21) were the only batsmen to offer some resistance while others failed to reach double figures. M. Islam (2 for 19), Asghar (2 for 28) and Baber (2 for 26) were the main wicket takers.
In the other match, ECU Lines scored 220 for 6. Leading the way was Javed with a scintillating knock of 113 off only 50 balls flogging the helpless ECU bowlers to all parts of the ground. He received good support from Imran (21) and A. Rahman (34). Mouzam took 2 for 39.
In reply MB Stars were bundled out for 122 Ateeq (25), Ameen (15) and Husnain (14) managed double figures. Manzoor ripped through the rival batting with figures of 5 for 25. Umar and Imran picked up 2 wickets each for 15 and 4 runs respectively.
