The Royal Air Maroc Open Golf Tournament 2015 takes place on Saturday at Dirab Golf & Country Club.
The two-ball Texas Scramble format competition marks the return of Morocco’s official flag carrier as one of the corporate sponsors to partner with the club having last sponsored a tournament in 2009.
The tournament that attracted around 55 teams and 110 players will have a 7 a.m. shotgun start and all participants will receive a goody bag that contains branded golf shirts, caps, and a sleeve of Titleist ProV1 golf balls.
Handsome prizes including golf merchandise are at stake for the top five winners. As usual, skill prizes for longest drive and closest to the pin are also on offer.
The Royal Air Maroc sponsorship through Country Manager Nouredine Ezzairi comes ahead of the airline’s resumption of the flights to Casablanca after the Riyadh-Casablanca sector was suspended last October. Starting June 1, there will now be three daily flights to Casablanca. Royal Air Maroc also operates flights from Jeddah.
Also, Qatar Airways and Royal Air Maroc announced in a press release the start of strategic joint business partnership.
The new partnership between the two airlines involving commercial cooperation will result in magnificent benefits for passenger. Royal Air Maroc is to operate three weekly flights between Casablanca and Doha.
