Shoaib, Mushtaq, Ejaz, Asad, Hassan shine in RCL Static Zone T20 Cup

The 2nd Static Zone T20 cricket tournament started here at RCL Complex with 34 teams in the fold.
Static Zone Company sponsored the tournament under the auspices Riyadh Cricket League.
Teams have been divided into three divisions namely Super Division, Premier Division and Premier-II Division. Ten teams are playing in Super Division, 12 Teams in Premier-I Division and 12 Teams in Premier-II Division.
RCL President Mamoor Elahi, SVP Jawaid Munawar and executive committee thanked Hammad Habib, GM Static Zone, for sponsoring the event for the second straight time.
The pavilion and grounds were put in good shape after heavy rain s under the supervision of Hanif Baber, vice president RCL.
Highlighting the opening six matches were good batting displays by Shoaib, Sultan, Mushtaq, Ejaz,Asad, Zahiruddin and Hassan.
Kashmir Press CC got the better of JAMIAA CC by 9 runs. Shoaib and Sultan provided a good opening of 150 runs. Shoaib made 57 runs and Sultan 72 runs. Irfan made 14 runs, Israr 11 and Qasim 10. Saifullah took 2 wickets while Mushtaq and Saif claimed 1 each.
In reply, JAMIAA fell short and could only make 183 runs in their allocated overs. Mushtaq scored 83 runs while Ejaz made 59 runs. Qasim and Ishrab took 1 wicket each.
Man of the Match: Sultan
Detecon Rising Stars won their match from Cricketers by 35 runs. Batting first, Detecon scored 179 runs. Umer Pervaiz made 17 runs, Irfan Khawaja 25, Raheel Awan 22, Zahid Asad 29 and Fahad Shabbir 20 runs. Zeeshan, Abdul Malik and Asad took 2 wickets each.
In reply, Cricketers misssed the total and collapsed for 144 runs. Asad was the only batsman to resist Detecon’s bowling, making 56 runs with Ashfaqon 26. Khurram took 2 wickets.
Man of the Match: Khurram
OSN Warriors CC beat Riyadh Blues CC by 84 runs. Batting first OSN, set a target of 197 runs. Zahiruddin Khalid and Taher provided a solid opening start of 119 runs. Zahir made 61 and Tahir 45 runs. Syed Raffay made 21, Mazhar 13 and Amer 14.
In reply, Riyadh Blues tallied 112 runs. Yousaf was the only batsman to show some resistance against Warriors bowlers and scored 50 runs . Tousif and Amir bowled well and claimed 3 wickets each.
Man of the Match: Zahiruddin Khalid
Pure Health CC won its match from E&Y CC by 5 wickets. Batting first E&Y made 156 runs. Haseem scored 46 runs while Sami 29 and Antar 28 runs. Ibrahim and Bashir took 3 wickets each.
In reply, Pure Health got the target in 19.1 overs. Hassan was in good form to score 53 runs with Mannan on 17, Waseem 20 and Tabrez 18. Haseeb and Ashar took 2 wickets each.
Man of the Match: Hassan
Run Riders CC defeated United XI by 5 wickets. Suhaib did excellent batting and made 74 runs. Shuja and Shafi scored 20 runs each while Azhar 34 and Zafar 18. Shakeel took 2 wickets.
In reply, Run Riders reached the target in a last ball thriller. Saleem scored 47 runs. He was supported by Mahmood 23 runs, Minhaj and Sameer 25 each and Sameer 40 runs. Basith got the final run to get victory for his team.

Shaheen XI beat Diamond CC by 2 wickets. Batting first, Diamond set a target of 135 runs. The scorers were Taher 19, Shaji 34, Shafi 24 and Aijaz 20. Ali took 3 wickets while Rehman, Zakir and Sikandar 2 each.
In reply, Shaheen XI achieved the total in 17 overs. Farooq scored 19, Rehman 15, Yasir 22 and Umar 14. Rashed made conclusive 21 runs to get victory for his team.
