RIYADH: The Pakistani people have a great deal of respect for Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and are committed to improving political, social and economic relations between the two nations.

These were the comments made by Pakistani President Mamnoon Hussain during a meeting with the Kingdom’s Shoura Council Speaker Abdullah Al-Asheikh in Islamabad on Tuesday, according to the Saudi Press Agency.
Hussain said there was a considerable convergence of views between the two nations on several important regional and global issues. He said Pakistan welcomed the invitation of King Salman for the country to join the Muslim coalition fighting terrorism.
The Pakistani people supported Saudi Arabia’s efforts to tackle extremism across the globe and considered the Kingdom’s safety and security in the same light as that of their own country, said Hussain.

Al-Asheikh, who is on an official visit to Pakistan at the head of a Shoura delegation, thanked Hussain for welcoming his group and said the Saudi people also had great regard for the Pakistani people.
He said the over 2 million Pakistanis in the Kingdom were living in the country with safety and security. Saudi Arabia was undergoing significant transformation under the leadership of King Salman, he said.
