JEDDAH: A recent study revealed that 90 percent of Saudi youths, male and female, approach their daily routine work actively and with eagerness.
They are also eager to work for longer hours. Of Saudi youths, 78 percent like to help others, and also express gratitude, according to a website.
Dr. Abdullah bin Saad Al-Jasser, secretary general of the National Center for Youth Research at King Saud University, said a sample of 6,156 youths between the ages of 15 to 25 years was taken to learn about 32 different human traits in the geographic situation of the Kingdom with all its 13 administrative regions, according to Saudi Press Agency.
Al-Jasser said that the study revealed that 54.4 percent of Saudi youths, male and female, actively and eagerly approach their jobs, while 2.6 percent of youths are different. Of these youths, 35.8 percent work longer hours without getting bored. Most of the male and female youths have a sense of seriousness and responsibility toward their work and want to perform better.
The study revealed that these youths have a sense of gratitude toward others. There are 53 percent who express gratitude toward others every day; 44.9 percent youth who express most of their emotions in front of their families; while 32.8 percent express their emotions in front of others without feeling embarrassed.
The study also revealed that 78.8 percent of youths like to extend support to their friends. There are 61.3 percent of youth who try to help their neighbors; 74.3 percent help their relatives one way or another compared to 1.4 percent who do not help anybody.
