JEDDAH: The General Organization for Social Insurance (GOSI) recently launched a new electronic service to help clients register their establishments in advance.
The move is expected to facilitate easier processing procedures for employers, subscribers and beneficiaries, local media has reported, quoting a GOSI official. “The new service will also help in protecting the lawful rights of all parties concerned in accordance with the most advanced electronic means,” the official adde.
The launch of this new service comes as an extension to the comprehensive electronic service launched previously by GOSI with the aim of facilitating all procedures for clients without the need to submit any of their data on the website or in person.
About the new system, Ahmed bin Mohammed Al-Omran, GOSI’s assistant manager for Information Technology, said: “The employer will receive a text message stating the username and password for his account so that he can access all details remotely.”
He said the employer should then continue the registration process for his establishment by activating the account within 30 days of receiving the text message.
“During this period, the user can amend the data and information of the establishment online through GOSI at http://www.gosi.gov.sa/portal/web. If the user did not log in to the account within the specified 30 days, the activation will be completed automatically and the account user can then amend the information about his establishment,” said Al-Omran.
The electronic portal of GOSI allows employers to perform all necessary procedures like setting up establishments, including the registration process, changing of worker’s wages, subscription payments and other related procedures.
