RIYADH: The Riyadh-based Authority for Accredited Valuers (’Taqeem’) will participate in the Al-Sharqia Exhibition for real-estate, housing and constructional development on Oct. 26 and 29 under the patronage of the Eastern Province Gov. Prince Saud bin Naif.
“Taqeem will seek to introduce itself and its main objectives through a number of meetings and workshops, along with the distribution of pamphlets and brochures that will be given to visitors,” said Essam bin Hamad Al-Mubarak, Taqeem secretary general.
He added that “we will also provide a detailed explanation about the importance of getting a certified real-estate valuation, and its role in maintaining the rights of workers and their investments with regard to the fact that valuation is one of the most important elements of maintaining public money and assets.”
Al-Mubarak continued: “It is worth mentioning that Taqeem was established to increase support for the profession of ‘real-estate valuation’ in the Kingdom, and to develop it using scientific methods in order to maintain savings and public assets.”
He added that the most important factors in the industry are the preparation, development and adoption of unified standards across all valuation branches, and the development of the necessary general rules for the valuation, the obtaining of a fellowship certificate for each valuation branch, as well as the regulation and supervision of continuing professional education courses to develop the valuer’s performance level.
He noted that Taqeem considers valuation to be a promising profession that will contribute to the creation of many special career opportunities for job-seekers.
The exhibition, which will be held at the Al-Zahran International Exhibition Center in the Eastern Province, is being organized by the commercial and industrial chamber in the province.
