• Which particular aspect of Saudi Arabia you like the most?
Its warm hearted people and the unique Saudi humor.
• Can you tell us your favorite and oft-repeated Arabic word?

• Which book is now on your bedside?
“Socialdemokratiske Taenkere” (Social Democratic Thinkers); it’s a book about the history and ideas behind the social democratic values.
• What is your favorite holiday destination?
Morocco.
• What is your dream country where you would like to be posted after leaving Saudi Arabia?
Syria... once the conflict is over.
• Which country’s people have you found most friendly?
Friendliness is not defined by nationality, instead it’s defined by upbringing, your personality and hundred other factors. All nationalities have both friendly and less friendly people among them.
• How do you react to or deal with anger?
I either ignore it or try to deescalate it. I can’t remember the last time I was angry myself.
• What is your source of strength during tough times?
A larger perspective in which you acknowledge your privileges. Compared to a majority of people in the world, my tough times are happy hours to them.
• What was your first impression about the Kingdom?
The climate. I love dry heat.
• Which Saudi city fascinated you the most?
The Holy City of Makkah. It captures the literal meaning of the expression “organized chaos”. The Saudi authorities deserve all recognition for the impressive organizing and development of the holy places.
• Your favorite Saudi dish?
All dishes with lam.
• The thing about Kingdom that you will always remember?
My stay has been an adventure, and I will always remember the entire adventure.
• If you were given only one option between Facebook and Twitter, what would you prefer?
Twitter while I am in the Kingdom and Facebook outside Saudi Arabia.
• If you were not a diplomat, what would your profession be?
Probably reporter/correspondent in the Middle East.
• Is hiding the truth acceptable in diplomacy?
Anyone who believes to behold the truth is eager to let everyone know about it. Diplomats are not exempted from that rule.
• How do you keep yourself fit?
I wish I were fit.
• Your favorite restaurant?:
A Thai restaurant not far from the DQ
• You are a fan of which football club?:
Barcelona.
• Who is your favorite actor/actress?:
I don’t have one.
• What is your favorite weekend activity?:
Anything but working.
