RIYADH: The Ministry of Education has directed various departments and governorates to print syllabuses on electronic tablets as alternative if there’s a delay in the delivery of books to students.
The ministry has issued a directive that surplus e-drives would be sent to education departments which don’t still have these.
However, Dr. Khaled Al-Angary, director of syllabuses at the ministry, said: “The delivery of all textbooks for primary and intermediate schools have been completed.”
He said the books were delivered in the same way like the science and math books for first and second years in the secondary school were delivered before Ramadan.
He discussed the time and schedule and mode of delivery, whether these be transported by contractors or by school principals.
He also said that after the directors of education and director of syllabuses approved the books, these are sent electronically to the warehouse which would send these to concerned departments of the ministry.
He added that the ministry had done its best to cope with the situation in such a way that the books be made available to the students
He said that there were mechanisms of delivering books, and one was learning management courses.
