AL-AHSA: Public and private museums, parks, historical and archaeological sites in Al-Ahsa are ready to receive visitors during the days of Eid in recognition of the civil and cultural dimension of Al-Ahsa.
Ibrahim Al-Meili, director of the Parks Department in Al-Ahsa Municipality, said: “All maintenance procedures have been completed with the provision of hygiene teams under the supervision of the Al-Ahsa mayor, Adel Al-Mulhim.”
He added that King Abdullah Environmental Park is the largest park created by the municipality, and it includes an interactive dancing fountain among other key attractions, calling visitors to maintain the gardens by not littering their waste and engaging in harmful behaviours in the area.
Ali Al-Hajji, director general of the Saudi Commission for Tourism and National Heritage (SCTNH) in Al-Ahsa, said: “Al-Ahsa has many tourist and archaeological sites that extend back in history for more than 4,000 years, including Ibrahim Palace Museum, Bait Al-Baye’a (House of pledges), Al-Madrasah Al-Emiriah ‘Princely School’, Al-Qaisariya Souk, Masjid Joatha, as well as Al-Hasa National Museum.”
He added that there are other sites in Al-Ahsa for popular cuisine and traditional meals, pointing out that these archaeological and historical sites provided a good environment for tourism companies to organize trips.
