RIYADH: An investigation committee has absolved the Najran director general of health affairs who had been accused of rude behavior with a woman employee seeking a job transfer, the Health Ministry has said.
The committee has stated in its report that the woman employee, her mother and siblings unnecessarily provoked the health official and took a video of a heated argument between them and posted it on social media, the ministry has been quote by local media.
The incident had resulted in the firing of the woman employee and formation of the committee, on the orders of Health Minister Khalid Al-Falih. The panel was headed by the undersecretary for therapeutic services and consisted of members from a number of relevant bodies.
The ministry has said that according to the committee’s report, it appeared that the patient was the mother of the employee who was working in a health center in Najran since 2013.
