Bangladesh International School (English Section) in Jeddah (BISESJ) obtained 100 percent passing grades in both International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) and Advanced Level (A level) under Cambridge International Exam (CIE) held in May-June 2014.
The result was announced in August 2014 and later in February 2015; the world ranking was announced by the Cambridge authority.
Tasneem Faridul Alam obtained the top position in the Kingdom in A level accounting. Mohammed Tanbir Mahatab achieved top position and Amal stood third in Jeddah in Best across 8 Cambridge IGCSE subjects.
Tanbir Mahatab got the top position in additional math, which was newly offered to the IGCSE students. Amal added another feather of success obtaining second position in the world in accounting, which is also the top position in the Kingdom. Another talent of BISESJ, Farzana was awarded a rank by CIE authority as high achievement in the Kingdom for IGCSE food and nutrition.
“I am very thankful to almighty Allah, my teachers and parents for their continuous support having faith in me. They gave me confidence and motivated me during difficult times to surmount the success,” said Mahatab.
Amal in her statement said by Allah’s grace and unconditional support of my teachers and parents achieving this rank has been an overwhelming experience. “My success is due to Allah’s grace, and my determination and hard work.”
Thanking teachers, parents and friends, Farzana hoped to continue with such a performance in the future.
Amir Mohammed, head of education of the school governing board thanked all the parents, teachers and students for their outstanding support and cooperation to achieve the common goal.
Kazi Neamul Bashir, chairman of the school governing board, expressed his joy while announcing the names of the award winners.
Mohammed Abdul Kaium, principal in charge of the school, reiterated that the achievements are nothing but the outcome of a team effort. “We strive for excellence in association with our school parents and teachers; our ability is proven over the years.”
