Saad Al-Hazmi, the director of project management at the Ministry of Justice, said that Riyadh will see the opening of 33 new courts and notary offices over the next two years. He said the ministry is relying on assistance from both local and international consultancy offices to implement these judicial projects.
The ministry is making it mandatory for companies implementing the projects to place electronic boards at the project sites indicating the time for completion before they are finalized and handed over to the ministry, he said.
The projects aim to reduce pressure on judicial offices and courts in all regions, while providing affordable services to all, said Al Hamzi.
Mohammed Al-Eissa, minister of justice, signed the contract for the establishment of these new courts, with the total value of the projects estimated at SR870 million.
Al-Hamzi said this is the fourth contract signed by the ministry, and is part of a wider effort to modernize the judicial environment in Riyadh.
