Saudi, Jordan universities sign research agreement

Prince Mohammed bin Fahd University (PMU) signed a research and technology exchange agreement with Jordan’s Princess Sumaya University for Technology (PSUT) in Alkhobar on Thursday.
The agreement, which was signed by Prince Mohammed and Princess Sumaya bint El-Hassan, is aimed at improving scientific research and education outcomes at both institutions.
Others who attended the event were Prince Turki bin Mohammed bin Fahad, deputy chairman of the PMU council, Esaa Al-Ansari, rector of the PMU, and other officials.
Prince Mohammed, who is chairman of the PMU council, also announced that the PMU would sign agreements with three other Saudi universities in the next few days.
Princess Sumaya told Arab News she was “very impressed by the development of PMU and programs provided by the university.” She said she also visited Prince Mohammad bin Fahd Foundation for Humanitarian Development in Dammam, Princess Jawaher’s Mashael Al-Khair Center and Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz Fund for Women Development.
“I want to thank those who support such foundations. They provide stability and support to the community. I wish them the best of luck.”
Al-Ansari said the university has become one of the leading institutions in the Kingdom. “We seek opportunities to cooperate with other universities and education organizations, to exchange experiences and expertise,” he said.
