Effat University recently organized an annual breakfast ceremony to honor the staff members and students for their efforts in developing the university. Around 1,000 staff, students and eminent guests attended the ceremony held in Jeddah. Dr. Haifa Jamal, the university president, Dr. Horiah Udgery, the vice president, deans and heads of departments and members of the academic, administrative and IT committee attended the ceremony.
The aim of the ceremony was to enhance the relationship between the university members and the different divisions in the institute.
Dr. Haifa Jamal, during her speech said that this ceremony was organized to honor the efforts of the staff members and the students in developing and making the university sustainable. It also enhanced the relationship between the staff and the leaders, staff and students and lastly among the staff itself as it is the developmental mission of the university.
“It’s delightful to celebrate how each person in the university has contributed to making Effat one of the best universities in the Kingdom,” she said adding, “Such celebrations affect the educational and developmental process positively as well as increase staff collaboration and give us the opportunity to thank the people involved in developing the university. Because of the staff and the academic and administrative committee contributions they make each day, Effat is on a continuous upward trend with regard to quality and reputation.”
She also stressed the importance of e-learning and said: “The University is currently working on activating the online learning program as this has become an essential part of the education process and is expected to become more influential in the coming years.
