An Arab expat and three Asians were arrested for stealing SR10 million worth of incense from a shop selling Arabian “oud” in Riyadh.
The thieves had stolen large quantities of the high-quality incense from the shop warehouse.
“The arrests were made following search operations conducted by Alkhobar police,” said a police statement.
Security forces raided the location after gathering information about the whereabouts of the stolen goods, which were confiscated.
“The Arab suspect was found to be in possession of the oud.”
Officials also raided another location simultaneously to arrest the three Asians, who were complicit in the crime.
The case has been referred to the Bureau of Investigation and Public Prosecution for further punitive action and to return the goods to their owner.
