Eritrean journalist Haji Jaber recently organized a function in Jeddah to celebrate the success of his novel "Samrawait," which bagged the Sharjah Prize for Creativity instituted by the Sharjah government.
Jaber, who is a journalist with Al Jazeera channel, was presented the award at a ceremony in Sharjah. He discussed the idea of his novel at a seminar held on the sidelines of the event.
Samrawait focuses on the Eritrean diaspora across the world. Many Eritreans who live in Jeddah have expressed their happiness over Jaber's winning the award.
