PISJ-ES qualifies for semis

Unbeaten PISJ-ES qualified for the semifinals in the under-19 Johnson Control Inter-School Cricket Tournament, organized by WPCA and sponsored by Saudi Cricket Center and Johnson Controls. Al-Wadi International School and International Indian School (IISJ) were the other teams that qualified for the semis.
In the first round, Pakistan International School Jeddah (English Section) defeated Al Corniche International School by 7 wickets. Al-Corniche International School using the track first made 150 runs for the loss of 3 wickets. Sufiyan and Mohsin scored 45 and 70 runs respectively. Saleh Ahmed took one wicket for the Pakistani school.
In reply, PISJ-ES achieved the required target for the loss of 3 wickets off 7 overs. Captain Furqan Ahmed led from the front and scored a fine knock of 55 runs. Anas (27), Malik (22), Shuaib Ahmed (20) were the main run getters.
In the other match, IISJ routed DPS Al-Falah by 144 runs. IISJ batted first and made 229 for 5.
Atif (56), Sameer 31), Badar (35) and Umer (28) were among the runs. In response, Al-Falah were bowled out for 83 runs. Fuaad and Weraaj were the only batsmen who put up some resistance for Al-Falah. Saahi (7 for 4) and Atif (3 for 4) did most of the damage.
In the second round of the tournament, PISJ, Al-Aziziyah had beaten Al-Corniche Int’l School by 4 wickets. Al-Corniche batted first and put on board 126 runs off their stipulated overs. PISJ, Al Aziziyah, achieved their target for the loss of 6 wickets.
In the same round, Al Wadi routed Al Falah by 120 runs. Al-Wadi batted first and scored 204 runs. Ahmed Nasir scored a splendid unbeaten 127 runs.
In response Al-Falah School collapsed for 83 runs.
In the third round of the tournament, PISJ-ES defeated PISJ Al-Aziziyah by 8 wickets. PISJ batted first and scored 155 for 8. Mudassir (34) and Majid (33) did their best. Saleh took 21 for 3. Shuaib and Anas Malik claimed two wickets each.
In response PISJ-ES, Anas Malik (66), Shuaib Ahmed (41) and Salman (30) batted well and reached their target off 15 overs. In the second match, IISJ defeated Al-Wadi to qualify for the semifinals.
