ALKHOBAR: In a unique attempt to express her love for her county, Aalya Al-Etaibi, a Saudi woman, knitted the biggest national flag using traditional fabrics and colors.
According to Arabic daily Al-Riyadh, Al-Etaibi worked solo on making the flag, which measures 22 meters in length and 7.5 meters in breath. She finished the project in 15 days.
“I present this flag as a gift for my beloved country,” said Al-Etaibi, adding: “Love alone is not enough, for it won’t make miracles come true; it’s working hard that will. If we truly love our country then we should prove it by seeking education, and for those who can’t, then they should try to excel in a suitable profession so as to contribute in building the country to make it a better place.” The flag is currently displayed at the King Fahad Inaternational Airport in Dammam.
