Aamir Khan sets sights on Hollywood

MUMBAI: Today his name is synonymous with quality. In the last decade, he has emerged as the single most successful actor. Superstar Aamir Khan continues to break barriers on screen and on television.
Every subsequent release of his has gone on to break the box-office record set by his previous film. Apparently, the actor has been very choosy in the process of becoming the big star that he is today.
Aamir is currently shooting in Punjab for Nitesh Tiwari’s “Dangal” where he plays a famous wrestling coach — Mahavir Singh Phogat.
A source close to the project confirms the buzz and says, “It is likely that another director might helm “Lagaan 2” and Prachi Desai has already been finalized to play Aamir’s leading lady.”
However, “PK” actor has reportedly refused to work in the sequel of Oscar nominated “Lagaan.”
Bollywood gurus are skeptical weather Aamir is taking forward the story of his 2001 epic sports drama “Lagaan” with a new director and actress on board. But an insider quashed the report by saying, “It is completely false news. It is not true at all.”
While everyone is wondering which film the perfectionist would be seen in after “Dangal,” we found that the actor is in talks with Hollywood big-shot Mel Gibson for the cinematic adaptation of Mahabharata.
According to a report on Catch News, “Aamir Khan wanted to make Mahabharata since a long time and he has been in talks with Mel Gibson for the film. Mahabharata will be backed by a big Hollywood studio and will go on floors early 2017.”
The source claims that the pre-production of the film has started. The movie will be shot in the US with some major visual effects. Now, we know what sets him apart from other boys in BTown.
